Profile
Acclaimed electronic producer/dj and mixing engineer Eddie Niguel began his music career in 1996 and later became involved in electronic music production and remix work in 2005. It was during this time that Eddie first found an appreciation on the art of mixing, having spent many hours working closely with chief engineer Desmond You of Loop Sound studios in Singapore. Over the course of the next few years, Eddie pursued further his love for audio production and was fortunate enough to have acquired invaluable experience and knowledge from Jesse Skeens of Medway Studios in London and more recently, Award winning engineer, Conor Dalton of Calyx Berlin, Germany.

As a producer, Eddie was awarded the Winner of a global remix competition hosted by the established Get Physical Music imprint from Berlin, Germany. The remix of Patrice Baumel’s ‘Roar’ went on to top Juno’s Best Seller chart marking the producer’s breakthrough moment in his career. Since then, Eddie’s own releases has seen industry-wide plays and support from DJs Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Dixon, Josh Wink and Sasha with reviews in publications such as DJ Times, Groove, Resident Advisor and XLR8R, as well as Radio 1 support in the likes of Annie Mac’s Weekend Show, Heidi’s Residency and both KiNK's and Disclosure’s Essential Mix.

Honing his skills and experience, he later started to help mix and develop other artist's works besides his own material. His attention to detail and clean yet powerful 3 dimensional sonic imprint can be heard on one of his more recent projects for Rome based artists Whitesquare "Limitation" on Tropical Animals, Kocleo "Always There" EP for Sasha's LNOE label, Hamburg based Echoel "Ordinary" EP for 8KO Records, various projects for Oxford, UK based alternative electronic artist 'Emseatee' and Singapore's very own synth pop quintet, Riot !n Magenta’s “Voices” EP and self titled debut LP, which garnered glowing reviews from Clash, Wonderland, DJ Mag as well as the local community of audiophile critics and vinyl fans. TBR Mixmaster was later set-up to provide an online music production 360 service for independent artists who are looking to achieve a high quality end product at an affordable price. Today, TBR Mixmaster is proud to have had the privilege to mix and/or mastered works from Francois K, Mike Dunn, KiNK, Mr G, Michel De Hey, Karim Sahraoui, Amelie Lens and many more established and emerging artist as well. From mixing to mastering and/or vinyl cutting, Eddie will see to it that your project reaches it’s optimum sonic potential.

Personal Note ~
Why come to me you ask? I am of view that a purely technical engineer might not know how to interpret an electronic track because he is unfamiliar with the genre or that a club track will need to feel a certain way to move you. That lack of empathy will often result in an engineer imposing their own personality on your mix and that usually might not be what you are looking for or most importantly need, i understand this. Having said that, while i primarily focus on electronic music, my understanding and love of other music forms is by no means any less too, i grew up surrounded by music of the Motown, Funk & Soul, Modern Rock and R&B & Hip-Hop thanks mostly in part to an extended family filled with musicians, djs and music lovers. I love working on any kind of materials as long as it packs some form of musical integrity. I am also of view that no project is ever too small for the take up, as such, i take great pride in making sure that every detail of your work is handled with the utmost care. Please get in touch to find out how i can accommodate your needs. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
EdVinyl Mastering
